Parasite SEO Sites List: How to Evaluate Platforms in 2026

A useful parasite SEO sites list is not simply a list of high-authority domains. The real question is whether the platform is meant for the kind of content you want to publish, whether similar pages already appear for your target searches, and whether the host's rules allow your promotional intent.

Start with platform fit, not domain metrics

A strong domain can still be a poor place for your topic. Check the host audience, content format, moderation rules, outbound-link policy and whether searchers would reasonably expect to find the answer there.

Free and user-generated platforms

Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Quora, Medium, Substack and similar platforms can expose user-created pages to search. Their rules are very different, though. Community-driven sites usually reward useful participation and can remove content that looks like self-promotion.

Paid placements need extra scrutiny

Paid publisher placements can offer editorial access, but they also create a clearer commercial relationship. Google’s site reputation abuse policy is especially relevant when third-party content is published mainly to take advantage of a host’s ranking signals.

A simple evaluation checklist

Look for query fit, host-audience fit, indexing, editing control, link rules, disclosure requirements, page durability and a realistic measurement plan. If several of those are weak, a high authority score alone is not a good reason to publish.

A useful rule of thumb: if the content would not be worth publishing on the host without a ranking benefit, improve the idea before you publish it.
